GLL operates the largest independent athlete support programme in the UK, the ‘GLL Sport Foundation’, providing 3,000+ award bursaries per annum to talented young athletes. GLL works closely with charities SportsAid (England), Mary Peters Trust (Northern Ireland) and SportsAid Wales (Wales), to ensure that the programme is aligned to the national governing bodies' talent pathways and that athletes receive the correct award support when they need it.
GLL believes in the difference that partnership working brings – both to the delivery of leisure centres and the wider social agenda. We’re proud to work with all our sporting partners:
GLL are proud to work in partnership with Olympic medallist diver Tom Daley to deliver the Tom Daley Diving Academy. The programme is designed for all ages and abilities wanting to take up this exciting sport. The Academy's hub is at the London Aquatics Centre but the programme reaches out across the country and is available to access at a number of Fundamental and Development centres. It provides children and adults with the opportunity to try this great sport and find our future Tom Daleys!
