Team Newham's first London Youth Games - organised by Better last month - was a great success.

The male and female teams were selected through local school Brampton Manor Academy. Daniel Bank, Community Sport Manager in the borough, arranged for the players to take part in an elite standard training session in advance with England Handball and a former international player. Through this, they learned a few fancy moves which gave them an edge in the competition.

The effort paid off with the boys winning every match convincingly and the girls clocking up 5 wins, 2 draws and only one loss from their 8 matches. It was great to see the lads so excited about their gold medals and showing them off on social media and in school on the following Monday.
