Last month, staff at GLL’s leisure centre in Horley laid on a smashing spring fair to bring local people together to showcase their entrepreneurial talents.

The event was prompted by the overwhelmingly positive response to the Christmas fair in December and turned out to be just as successful.

Thirty-six stalls were rented out to a broad range of businesses including crafts, cookery and cosmetics, with a good turn-out of customers.

Horley Men’s Shed – a local community group for men to get together, make and fix things and share a joke – was one of the stallholders. A representative comments, “Thank you to the leisure centre staff for your hard work in organising the event, as a group we all really enjoyed the atmosphere and meeting of fellow stall holders!”
