GLL's Newquay Leisure World has recently introduced a new offering for families in their soft play area – silent discos.

This is where participants listen to a soundtrack of dance music through individual headphones, allowing them to move and groove to their favourite tunes while everyone else basks in silence. Silent discos are already a popular pastime on Cornwall’s beaches.

Leisure World has now run two sessions which both turned out to be a roaring success. Senior General Manager, Amelia Kitchen, comments, “Our silent discos have been a real smash hit - the kids love it and we even get the mums and dads joining in!

“I can honestly say they’ve been the most peaceful soft play sessions ever with just the odd burst of singing out loud! We really recommend it. It’s a simple concept that has brought new energy and great moves to our leisure centre.....we are already planning the next events!
