GLL Libraries Win Prestigious Award

GLL libraries in Bromley, Dudley, Greenwich, Lincolnshire and Wandsworth have been granted the ‘Technology Excellence in Libraries Award’ (TEiLA) by not-for-profit membership organisation BIC (Book Industries Communication).
This accolade acknowledges the libraries’ efforts in using technology to improve customer service and reduce costs. Areas assessed include bibliographic information supply and usage, electronic communication with suppliers, Radio Frequency ID solutions and systems integration and automation.
GLL libraries are run under the 'Better' brand. The award covers the period from December 2024 to November 2025 after which, GLL may apply again.
Rebecca Gediking, GLL’s Head of Libraries, comments, “We’re delighted to receive this award. Many thanks to my colleagues Barbara Hall and Martin Stone for all their hard work on the application.”
