GLL continues successful leisure partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham

GLL has been awarded a new management contract to continue operating public leisure facilities in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham for the next 10 years.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, GLL – under its customer brand, Better, will continue to operate Hammersmith Fitness & Squash Centre, Lillie Road Fitness Centre and Phoenix Fitness Centre & Janet Adegoke Swimming Pool.

The partnership will also see GLL continue its commitment to improving lives throughout the borough, with long-term investment into the community. This will include a free Better Pay & Play membership card for all borough residents, giving access to discounted rates on sport and leisure services.

GLL will also invest in the local community through its Community Foundation, contributing both financial and in-kind support to a number of projects that encourage local people to get active, learn and play together.

In addition, GLL Sport Foundation will also support 49 talented young athletes from within the borough.

After the start of the contract, improvements are planned for all three centres. Each centre will receive a health and fitness upgrade, with the installation of new equipment, as well as improvements to gym and studio spaces.

In addition, Hammersmith Fitness & Squash Centre will receive improvements to changing facilities, as well as a reconfigured reception area, including fast pay kiosks to support a fully cashless facility.

Similarly, Lillie Road Fitness Centre will also undergo improvement works in changing areas, as well as reconfiguring the reception space to a new-look concierge desk.

At Phoenix Fitness Centre & Janet Adegoke Swimming Pool, the customer experience will be upgraded, with the complete refurbishment of the changing village, as well as swipe and enter access through the reception area.
